KOMPLETE ULTIMATE 10 HOW TO
My opinion is definitely tainted but i would for sure get live suite and see what else you would need because maybe just getting kontakt and 3rd party packs for orchestral or other acoustic stuff would be a better option.Īnd as far as basic fx like eq, ditortion/saturation etc, live has plenty of them and tbh of very good quality if you know how to use them, and especially on what to use them. although i have a bunch of the basic NI stuff, i can't say that i would use their fm synth before operator, simply because i find the interface on live's instruments so much easier to work with. otherwise they all sound pretty flat, regardless of what you get. keep in mind that with acoustic instruments, the modulations and expression options need to be programmed/played to make them sound good. it all depends on what kind of music you want to do. lots of great drums and natural sounds and a bit more creative packs as well. there's a lot of great content included with suite as well. the new wavetable is great but on my machines ( a few macs that are around 4 years old) it kinda pushes the cpu when used polyphonically with a lot of modulation going on but it's workable, even on a laptop. but the new echo is fantastic, i use corpus a lot and use operator in a lot of work. you get a lot of cool stuff, which you can also buy separately from them. i don't think i could live without all the fx that come with live. been using ableton since version 5 i think. It's just whatever your preference of tools is.īeen using live suite for years, over the different versions. If your focus is more on Synths and effects choose Live Suite. Soo.if your focus is mostly on real instruments choose Komplete Ultimate. Razor would be the only synth/signal processor I would miss from Komplete Ultimate. As far as plugins and signal processing, a lot of successful electronic artists still swear by Suite's arsenal. Eventually you'll wish you had them, specifically the Echo effect and Wavetable synth in Suite these are particularly nice. The only thing is you're giving up a lot of the great synths and effects in Live Suite. If you're scoring a film or doing game soundtracks you'll probably be much more satisfied with the strings in the Komplete Ultimate bundle. If you're adding strings as a layer or melody line for a track, the strings in Live work great. The only thing is you get vastly more articulations and more natural sustains with the Symphony Essentials in Komplete Ultimate. The strings and natural instruments in Live sound great. Hello, Long-time Ableton Suite and NI Komplete user here.
